orientation

Hey yall! We had our first day of orientation today. This morning our RA took us on a walk around the neighborhood to see where all the local stores, bars, parks, etc are. It was very helpful! After we just had a lot of info sessions at the school. They were helpful but kinda long. Went to a little restaurant for "tapas"... appetizers, i think is the best translation, and cervezas (beer) with Megan afterwards then came home and took a nap before dinner. Boy, does she cook a lot of food for dinner! We had this noodle dish that had olives and a little bit of tuna in it, then we thought we were done but she brough out huge bratwurst type things and bread. We were soo full. Then she brought out watermelon for dessert. And after that she asked us if we wanted pieces of a chocolate bar, but I couldnt even think about food at that point! Now we're just trying to find cheap tickets to fly to portugal this weekend.

OH! if you leave anonymous comments, make sure you leave your name!!

You're going to come back with some very unique food interests. Noodles, olives, and tuna? Quite an interesting dish! Are these dishes considered authentic food of Spain or is Elizabeth a creater of these recipes? I can't believe how adventurous you're becoming. You would have balked at me if I'd set a plate of tuna, olives, and noodles in front of you. You're going to find my dishes so bland upon your return. What happened to good old enchiladas? Hugs, love and kisses, Mom
